Buy a Shelby GT500 for just $120!

Your comment was a yawner! However, the journalist at Autoblog and all readers did not, and will never, need to know your childish comment about the journalist work.
It displeases me to know I own a 1979 Oldsmobile 98 Regency and you are a fan of "The General!"

I have a friend who has been collecting these models for years and infact a whole wall made just for them Franklin Mint does a very good job on the details.

Franklin's are more complete, but there are some nice models of this car out there in 1/18 scale, which I find much more pleasant to look at, and at much lower prices.
I personally do not think of Franklin's models as being for car nuts, but for detail collectors who dont mind a premium price. Maybe it is because I am 6'3 and hate small stuff.
(a Mustand in 1/18 is about 10.5 inches long, in 1/24, it's 7.75.

I'm with BOB.
I collect in the 1/18th scale, and there are a lot of model makers who match/exceed Franklin Mint's standards at that price point or incrementally higher. If Franklin Mint made 1/18th scale models, I'd consider buying them.

On backorder? The dealers must have bought all of them so they can gouge on the models, just like they do on the real thing.

I highly advise nobody buy Franklin Mint models, not because they're not well-detailed or anything, but because of the PRICE!
You can get a comparable AutoArt model that's quite a bit bigger and half the price instead.
